In May, Chino, CA-based Diamond Wipes International, a contract manufacturer of wet wipes, acquired certain assets from Fredonia, OH-based Guy & O’Neill, which closed its doors this spring. The acquisition, which included certain undisclosed brands, closed in January, according to an announcement from Diamond Wipes International.
Guy & O’Neill closed its doors earlier this year after an attempt to secure a buyer failed. The maker of household cleaning and personal care brands, including Ally adult care bathing cloths, Care4 makeup remover wipes and Clean Cut disinfectant wipes, Guy & O'Neil was purchased by Centre Partners, a private equity firm in 2018. It was relisted for sal late last year but efforts to find a buyer were unsuccessful.
In addition to the Fredonia site, Guy & O'Neil operated a facility in Reidsville, NC, which was acquired in 2022.
